SAFETY + QUALITY
THE WORK IS ONLY GOODIF THE SITE IS SAFE.
6:12 Installs holds safety and quality as non-negotiable commitments — not compliance checkboxes. Every crew member, every project, every day.
SAFETY
A SAFE SITE IS A PRODUCTIVE SITE
We operate with the understanding that our crews are working alongside other trades in active construction environments. That requires discipline, awareness, and a culture where every person on the crew is responsible for the safety of the team.
OSHA COMPLIANCE
All field personnel maintain current OSHA 10 certification at minimum. Supervisors hold OSHA 30. We stay current with applicable standards and enforce them on every site.
DAILY SITE AWARENESS
Before work begins each day, crew leads conduct a site walk to identify hazards, confirm PPE compliance, and review the day's scope. No shortcuts.
PPE STANDARDS
Hard hats, safety glasses, high-visibility vests, and appropriate footwear are required on all active job sites. Task-specific PPE is provided and enforced.
INCIDENT REPORTING
Any near-miss, injury, or unsafe condition is documented and reviewed. We treat every incident as an opportunity to improve — not something to minimize or ignore.
COORDINATION WITH GC
We follow the general contractor's site safety plan and participate in required safety orientations, toolbox talks, and pre-task planning meetings.
SUBSTANCE-FREE WORKPLACE
6:12 Installs maintains a strict substance-free workplace policy. All crew members are subject to pre-employment and reasonable-suspicion testing.
QUALITY
INSTALLED RIGHT. THE FIRST TIME.
Quality at 6:12 Installs starts before the first piece is touched. We review submittals, coordinate with the GC and fabricator, and confirm field conditions before installation begins. The goal is zero punch list items — and when issues arise, we address them immediately.
SUBMITTAL REVIEW
We review approved shop drawings and submittals before mobilizing. Understanding the design intent and specified tolerances is the foundation of a clean installation.
FIELD VERIFICATION
Conditions in the field rarely match the drawings exactly. We verify dimensions, substrate conditions, and rough-in locations before installation begins — not after.
SEQUENCING & COORDINATION
We coordinate with the GC and other trades to ensure our work is sequenced correctly. Millwork and casework installed out of sequence creates problems that are expensive to fix.
INSTALLATION STANDARDS
Our crews follow AWI, WI, and manufacturer installation standards. We don't improvise on tolerances, fastening patterns, or substrate requirements.
SELF-INSPECTION
Crew leads inspect completed work before calling for GC walkthrough. We find our own issues first — that's what separates a professional installation contractor from a labor-only crew.
PUNCH LIST RESPONSE
When punch list items are identified, we respond promptly and close them out completely. We don't leave a project until the work is accepted.
OUR COMMITMENT TO EVERY PROJECT
General contractors and construction managers choose 6:12 Installs because they know the work will be done correctly, safely, and without creating problems for the rest of the project team.
We show up prepared, we communicate clearly, and we hold ourselves accountable to the same standards we expect from every other trade on the site.
